The Womb of the Mother

A journey through maternal lineage, body memory and conscious inheritance

A four-hour embodied shadow-work and shamanic journey into the holding darkness of Mother Earth—a space to meet what has protected you, return what no longer needs to be carried in the same form, and reclaim the life force held within it.

The concept

A journey of re-membering

We carry more than our individual stories. Within the body live patterns of protection, relationship, resilience and belonging shaped by our experiences, our families, the environments we inhabit and the lives that came before us.

Some of these patterns appear through the roles we have learned to inhabit: the one who is always strong, the caretaker, the achiever, the peacemaker, the one who needs nothing or the one who holds everything together. These ways of being are not personal failures. They often developed intelligently to help us remain safe, loved, needed or included.

During The Womb of the Mother, you will be invited to recognise one protective pattern—not to reject or eliminate it, but to understand what it has carried, how it lives within your body and what life energy it may still be holding.

Through embodied awareness, breath, sound and movement, we create space to listen beneath habitual activity, control and adaptation. From this grounded place, we turn towards feminine wisdom, the womb, the maternal line and the Earth.

The workshop culminates in a guided descent into the symbolic womb of Mother Earth: a holding ground where the exhausted form of a pattern can be composted, its wisdom honoured and the life force within it reclaimed.

This is a journey of re-membering: meeting what has been carried unconsciously and choosing consciously what you wish to honour, transform or carry forward.

The soul of the journey

We do not exist separately from life

Our bodies belong to the Earth. Our lives emerged through other bodies. Our stories are intertwined with those of our families, ancestors, communities and environments. What we carry affects how we relate, create and participate—and what we transform within ourselves can change what continues through us.

The womb represents the place in which life is received, held, formed and brought into being. It also represents the darkness of the unknown: the fertile space in which an old form can dissolve before something new is ready to emerge.

Mother Earth becomes the larger womb that can receive what has completed its cycle. Like compost, what has ended does not have to be rejected or erased. It can be returned to the ground, transformed and made available to life in another form.

Mother Earth does not ask us to exile the parts that protected us. She receives the forms that have completed their work, transforming what has become exhausted while returning its energy to life.

Conscious inheritance begins when we become aware of what continues through us. We may inherit strength, creativity, resilience and ways of belonging, but we may also carry roles, silences and protective patterns that no longer serve life in their original form. Honouring what came before does not require us to repeat everything that came before.

The journey reconnects feminine energy with life-force energy: the receptive, relational, creative and cyclical intelligence that moves through the body and through the Earth. It is the pulse of life that teaches us when to move, rest, release, receive and bring something new into the world.

Why this work matters

The way we live within ourselves shapes the world around us

I believe that the way we relate to our bodies is deeply connected to the way we relate to one another and to the Earth.

When we become disconnected from the wisdom of the body, our intuition and the rhythms of life, it becomes easier to live at a pace that asks us to keep producing, functioning and carrying more, even when something within us is asking us to stop. Over time, this separation has consequences for our nervous systems, our relationships, the way we work and our capacity to feel what is sustainable.

I see the same pattern reflected in our relationship with Mother Earth. We have learned to treat the Earth as though her resources were endless and as though we existed separately from the consequences of pollution, extraction and overconsumption. But the changes we are witnessing around us remind us that this way of living cannot continue indefinitely.

Personal transformation alone cannot resolve the ecological and social challenges we face. But our systems are shaped and sustained through the ways we live, relate, lead, work and participate. When we transform something within ourselves, that transformation can ripple into our families, relationships, communities and the choices we make in the world.

This journey begins somewhere small and intimate: with one body, one protective pattern and one conscious choice. But no transformation happens in isolation.

For me, returning to the body and returning to the Earth are part of the same movement. Both ask us to listen again, to respect limits and cycles, and to move from control and extraction towards relationship, reciprocity and care.

Why we gather

Circle is part of the medicine

We gather in circle to remember that healing is not a solitary path. When we gather with intention, we are no longer holding everything alone.

In circle, what has been hidden or carried alone can become visible without needing to be explained, analysed or fixed. Our stories find witnesses, our nervous systems receive the presence of others, and something guarded within us may begin to soften gently and in its own time. We feel held by the circle, by the Earth and by ancient wisdom.

The circle reminds us that we belong to our bodies and to the Earth. We belong to those who came before us and to those who will come after us. We belong within a web of relationships in which what happens within one life touches many others.

Together we reclaim our inheritance, wholeness, belonging and life.

Who this journey is for

For those who feel the call

This journey is for women and men who want to deepen into feminine or womb-centred experience and feel called to explore the body, feminine wisdom, maternal lineage and Mother Earth.

Feel disconnected from their bodies, emotional lives or feminine centres

Have spent long periods functioning, achieving, caring for others or carrying significant responsibility

Recognise themselves in roles such as the strong one, the caretaker, the achiever, the peacemaker or the one who holds everything together

Feel that a familiar protective pattern continues to shape their relationships, choices or capacity to receive support

Are moving through a transition, ending, identity shift or new beginning

Feel called to honour their maternal line while choosing consciously what they want to carry forward

Are reconnecting with creativity, intuition, sensuality or life-force energy

Long for a deeper experience of belonging to the Earth and the living world

Are open to somatic practice, ritual and guided shamanic journeying

You do not need complete knowledge of your ancestry, a harmonious relationship with your mother, previous experience of shamanic practice—or a physical womb—to take part.

The womb may be approached as a physical, emotional, energetic or symbolic space. Every practice is an invitation, and you remain sovereign in deciding how deeply you participate.

You will not be asked to disclose personal or family experiences to the group. The shadow work begins through your own body and inner listening, and you remain sovereign in deciding what you explore and what you share.

The path we will follow

Three essential movements

01

Return to the body

  • Honouring the body as territory
  • Reconnecting with the emotional body
  • Understanding protective patterns and conscious inheritance
02

Return to the Mother

  • Meet the protective pattern with compassion
  • Somatic dialogue with the protective form, honouring what it has carried
  • Descend into the womb of Mother Earth to compost what has completed its cycle and reclaim the life force within it
03

Return to belonging

  • Returning to the body and integrating the experience
  • A ritual of conscious inheritance: choosing what you return, and what you reclaim and carry forward
  • Connecting to the web of life

What you may take from the journey

Something to carry into life

01

Greater awareness of the body as a living territory carrying sensation, emotion, protection and wisdom

02

Recognition of one protective role or pattern that has shaped how you relate, respond or carry responsibility

03

A more compassionate understanding of what this pattern has tried to protect

04

Awareness of how the pattern lives within your breath, posture, movement and nervous system

05

Practices using breath, sound and movement to remain connected with yourself while feeling

06

Greater discernment about what you wish to honour, release, transform or carry forward

07

A renewed connection with a quality or life force previously held within protection

08

A personal ritual and embodied intention to bring the experience into everyday life

The purpose is not to interpret your ancestry, uncover traumatic memories or tell you what your body means. The journey creates the conditions for you to listen, encounter your own images and meanings, and decide what feels true for you. It is an experiential workshop and does not replace psychotherapy, trauma treatment or medical care.

About me

I’m Marielly

I am a Tantra and Shamanic Practitioner, Somatic and Embodied Leadership Coach. My work brings together more than two decades of experience accompanying transformation in people, communities and organisations.

Trained as an architect, urban planner and researcher, my professional journey took me across Latin America, Europe and Asia. I worked alongside communities, governments, professionals and local leaders to create more inclusive environments and strengthen collective agency and belonging.

Throughout this work, I paid particular attention to women: their participation, knowledge, resilience and capacity to shape their communities and the places they inhabit. Although my work was then expressed through urban and community development, the feminine— and the question of how women hold, sustain and transform life— was already quietly present.

After five years of leading community-based programmes in complex environments in Pakistan, prolonged stress, nervous-system hyperactivation and traumatic experiences culminated in severe burnout and post-traumatic stress.

Through somatic practice, nervous-system work, emotional integration, Reiki, Tantra, ritual and shamanic journeying, I began to reconnect with my body and recover the life force that had become bound within survival. My deepest initiation came through living the journey myself. Through my own descents and inner journeys, I began to remember my feminine wisdom and hear the call of the Divine Mother in her different expressions: within the body, the womb, the Earth, ancestral memory and the sacred cycles of death, transformation and rebirth.

Today, I weave together the different strands of my experience: body awareness, nervous-system understanding, breath, sound, movement, ritual, shamanic practice, relationship with the Earth and the elements, and my enduring love for community.

I have come to understand that the different expressions of my work share the same movement: creating spaces where what has been hidden or carried alone can become visible, held and transformed— so that the life energy bound within protection can begin to move again.

The Womb of the Mother emerges from this personal and professional journey—an invitation to honour the body as territory, descend into the holding ground of the Mother, reconnect with feminine life force and remember that we belong to a living web much larger than ourselves.
